I got a lot of busy signals today. also noticed a lot of "What's your address". Apparently there is a little interest in listening to only their district constituents. That is a good thing until they start listening to illegals, even those in their districts

I got a lot of busy signals also. Although towards the end of the day (3:00) the lines were mostly wide open.
I was only calling on the list above. I just finished emailing the Republicans on the list, tomorrow I'll do the Democrats. I was on the Senate web site and Murkowski, from Alaska is a big problem, as she votes with the Gang of eight and not with the Republicans. Hoeven, and Corker are expected to vote yes after their amendment is adopted. That will allow Ayotte to sell out. and then I think they will have the 60 votes. We've got to pound Murkowski, Hoeven, Corker, Ayotte and persuade all the Dems. on the list to see if we can get some crossovers. We've really got the deck stacked against us. I'm not giving up though, This bill has had cardiac arrest several times, it's just that this bill is a zombie and they keep bringing it back to life when what it really wants to do is just die.

I called and left messages for all the Senators on the list. A few had message box's full.
Alexander, Ayotte, Corker, Hoeven, and Rubio all have full voice mail boxes as of Saturday afternoon. I can't tell you how urgent it is for all of us to pull out all the stops. We need to do every thing we can to stop this nation crushing legislation. We need to call and email all weekend long! Last edited by Greg in LA; 06-22-2013 at 02:06 PM.

The senate is really hard to influence from our level. They just represent too many people. I wish we could find another way to make an impact on them

Yes it is hard. I think I'm going crazy. I kept emailing and calling voice mail all Friday evening and a good part of Saturday. Not sure it's really going to help,but I need to do something to keep my mind off of my sense of fear and of the impending doom.
If I don't keep busy, I think I'm going to explode.
