Save Our State condemns this sentence commutation as reprehensible, and just points out how low the politics of the state house have sunk. Nunez had barely served any of his original sentence, and has been treated more favorably simply because of some political backscratching that is something seen in third world countries like Mexico, where justice is bought and sold as a commodity. Should California continue down this path, it should not surprise anyone if, or when, vigilantism rises in the wake. When the executive branch overrules the judicial branch in cases where politics are such a transparent silent partner, how can any California citizen trust either.
