AIP Results Show Large Percentage Of Write-in
this may be an anomoly, but I've clicked on the results for the AIP governors results, and nightingale is ahead, but not by as much as I would have thought. Markham Robinson, her opponent did little to no campaigning in comparison to the blowhardiness of nightingale with her perpetual emails, public appearances, and radio broadcasts. For a guy who wasn't applying any real effort, he has been trailing her by a small margin in many counties thus far.
But the real surprise is how many write-in votes there were in the AIP Governor race. Large percentage really alameda county Chelene Nightingale 298 36.70 Markham Robinson 273 33.62 Write-in 241 29.68 Amador County GOVERNOR Vote for Not More Than 1 MARKHAM ROBINSON . . . . . . . . 43 33.33 CHELENE NIGHTINGALE . . . . . . . 49 37.98 WRITE-IN. . . . . . . . . . . 37 28.68 Total . . . . . . . . . 129 Over Votes . . . . . . . . . 0 Under Votes . . . . . . . . . 62 Calaveras Governor - Primary - American Independent Vote for 1 VOTES PERCENT Chelene Nightingale 42 47.73% Markham Robinson 22 25% Write-In 24 27.27% CHELENE NIGHTINGALE (AIP) 41.82% 450 MARKHAM ROBINSON (AIP) 30.58% 329 WRITE-IN (AIP) 27.60% 297 1,076 Imperial county AI - GOVERNOR 50/124 40.32% Vote Count Percent CHELENE NIGHTINGALE 35 41.67% MARKHAM ROBINSON 35 41.67% WRITE-IN 14 16.67% Total 84 100.00% Madera County Governor AIP Completed Precincts: 83 of 83 Vote Count Percentage CHELENE NIGHTINGALE 140 51.3% MARKHAM ROBINSON 88 32.2% Write-in candidate(s) 45 16.5% Marin County CHELENE NIGHTINGALE 121 39.16% MARKHAM ROBINSON 108 34.95% Write-in Votes 80 25.89% Mendocino county the write in's surpassed the vested candidates? CHELENE NIGHTINGALE 51 35.66% MARKHAM ROBINSON 29 20.28% Write-in Votes 63 44.06% I can't remember seeing such a large percentage of write-in before this is just a sampling of course, but that percentage of write-ins shows that either some were clearly not happy with either candidate, or...they decided to cross party lines and vote republican to actually make their vote make a difference this time. Looks to me to see that AIP voters have the biggest percentage of write ins in the whole election. I'd sure like to know what was the biggest write in candidate for them

Anyone know if there's a way to obtain the write in results, as in who was written in?

Mike Williams?
Say whatever you like about the Nightingale effort, but the ugly truth is that, with her primary victory this past Tuesday, we all just moved one step closer to getting banned from the State of California.

I requested the write-in results from two counties to see if we could find out who the voters who did write in chose. Unfortunately both declined, stating that they do not track any write-in candidates who were not officially declared. So in essence, they are a complete waste of effort.
That seems rather un-American to me. |

OK, here's what I'm sure will prove to be a stupid question:
Why do you care? The AIP candidate has only a mathematical chance of winning. Further, we know there's been some dissension in the ranks, even prior to Mommy Dearest joining the party. Therefore, it's not surprising that loyalties were split and that a write-in candidate (or candidates) made a comparatively strong showing.
