I believe Obama will hang on to the bitter end. I don't think there will ever be a serious impeachment effort. The GOP has too many skeletons in its own closet and impeaching Obama for dereliction of duty would set a standard to which the GOP would have to comply in the aftermath of removing him from office on those grounds.
