Ed Koch, dead at 88!

Former NYC Mayor Ed Koch passes away at about 2:00 AM this morning from congestive heart failure.

He was a 4 term Congressman and 3 term New York City Mayor. A liberal Democrat Jew.

I don't live in NYC, I live upcountry. And I am a Conservative Republican. I couldn't vote for him and wouldn't. However, he was the most honest politician I ever knew about. A true straight shooter. Honest and intelligent. I had only the greatest respect for Ed. He was a Good Jew and a Good American.

How sad that there aren't apparently more like him in politics. A great loss.
