Default Why The Ballot Box Doesn't Work For Us

Another election period is upon us, and as usual, not many choices we really like. We tolerate some, but we don't usually like most of them. But that's a story we've already read many, many times, so today's commentary will not go down that path.
Instead, I want to point out why our side seldom wins at the ballot box. When I say "our side", I mean the patriot side that believes in constitutional adherence, fair play, and free enterprise, among other things. Our side never wins because we don't cheat. We don't cheat because we have faith, trust, and a conscience. Unfortunately our competition doesn't strive for such lofty, altruistic goals. They just like the winning, and high moral ground or noble principles are handicaps that tether them.

To the heart of the commentary here, ballot boxes are not stuffed per se, but what we have experienced in border security, interior enforcement, and visa overstays, is also happening in the elections process. Non-enforcement.
That's right; no one enforces election laws either. We all know about the Bob Dornan race where illegals were proven to have voted, and those illegals were never prosecuted, but this is, once again, not to the heart of this commentary. What is a big player in the election process that is related to non-enforcement is the rules of conduct. The government has a wing of bureaucracy, the Fair Political Practices Commission, that is supposed to keep the election process fair between candidates. But as mentioned earlier, they either don't do the job at all, or it comes way, way to late to be of any use or effectiveness. That's the way illegal immigration wins too. Although we do prosecute and deport the illegals eventually...sometimes...in the longrun we get anchor babies and chain immigration that accomplishes the same goal, but usually with different people. The mexicans get their way as a colony, but not necessarily the illegal who spawned during his or her unlawful presence.

In the case of the election system, those without conscience break all the rules of advertisement, spending, and reporting. The government doesn't pursue them until after they have swam upstream, laid their eggs in the fertile ponds of public office, and in many cases, after they are dead or arrested and in prison for other crimes committed after the fact.

You all know how I do public records research and all, and I monitor the courthouse here on a daily basis. Of late, the elections watchdogs, the FPPC for short, has been filing lawsuits against election committees that have failed to file reports, broken spending rules, transferred money improperly to their conniving betheren in other races, or just plain pocketed the money for personal use. Normally I'd be glad to see this, however my excitement and hopes were quickly dashed when I saw the dates and looked in to the candidates history

One example was a man of mexican heritage who was candidate for city council in a big city in Southern California. I don't see the point in naming him specifically because it will detract from the bigger issue, and because many of the FPPC cases filed against candidates lately are of latino/mexican persuasion. They also seem to be predominantly democrats. But anyway, this case filed against him has about 10 or 15 counts, and pretty much all of them occurred in 1997. Hell, that's nearly 15 years ago. this guy won, and why wouldn't he? He got a monetary advantage his competition was too proud and too principled to take. So he went on to office and there he spawned the usual democrat/liberal agenda that we've all come to despise. Getting back to the FPPC case though, not only is it about 15 years too late to be effective in creating fairness, but the councilman has been long convicted of other crimes while in office. So here we have this near worthless bureau of fairness now spending money in court to get judgements against committees to elect people that are long defunct. In this case, they are seeking $24,000.00, and it is likely that the crook that was at the core of the complaint actually cheated quadruple that, but the commission seeks only that that's easily proven. Doesn't really matter though, because the crook is never going to pay. I haven't checked, but he may still be in jail or prison.

This was just one of many cases filed here this past week that followed the same theme and pattern. You know what it proves? That cheating pays in elections. It also should highlight the uselessness of the FPPC, although since that commission was designed by politicians, and is most likely stacked with their cronies, it was probably meant to be a failure. In any case, we, those of us with a conscience, a sense of fairness, and faith are battling our counterparts with one hand and one leg tied together. And we wonder why these thieving peices of corrupt trash keep winning elections here in California. Wonder no more. The referee in this ring has been blinded, deafened, and distracted. And even those fouls that are detected don't get adjudicated until the next generation of contenders get in ring together, and start the same process over again, with predictable results that even the mob would honor

We're screwed unless we replace the referee
