Nearly 9 years of complaining, writing letters, following employers of illegals hiring at day labor centers, countless protests of illegals at day labor centers, and on and on, and the state is just now looking into the problem?

This was a hearing at the state capitol about the underground economy in California. Unfortunately, I did not see this posted on the legislative website, else I would have been there. It's long, and mostly boring to the general person, but there are some little jewels of testimony during the video.
One guy talks about an investigation of a roofing company in Southern CA that they new was violating the employment laws, but it took the state 5 years to shut them down because the state agencies weren't working together, and in that time the state lost millions in revenue from lost payroll tax, workers comp, EDD witholding, etc.

At the beginning of the meeting, one guy mentioned the Home Depot option for "employers"

Not until the 2nd video, and at the end of it, does one person bring up ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION as one of the 3 big problems with the underground economy. Unfortunately though, this business owner started hacking up the same vile concept that these illegals really want to pay their taxes.
