El Centro Sector Border Patrol Assists to Rescue Couple

Niland, Calif. - Over the weekend, El Centro Sector Border Patrol and an Imperial County Sheriff deputy saved a couple and their puppy. The couple and their pet had become stranded in chest-deep flood waters after a large wash, located approximately one-half mile north of Hot Mineral Spa Road on Highway 111, had overflowed and caused the vehicle they were traveling in to stall.
