The poll option is near the very bottom of your original post. you should be able to add it in still if you hurry, but you'll have to edit yout post using the "go advanced" option

I can't convert this post to a poll. There's no polling option.

When I try to create a new poll I go all the way except my responses are too long and have to be edited. I will have to practice a couple of times but end up posting useless messages. I cannot edit responses once a poll is posted which makes sense.

How do I delete a message I posted? Once I figure that out I can delete this thread, the useless practice message, and only have the poll posted.

Adding a poll has to be done soon after creating a thread. The same goes for deleting a message. The edit option stops after 24 hours I think. After you get your next poll established, we can delete this from our end
