Default Initiative and Referendum Qualification Status as of November 30, 2011

Changes since the last update:

1526. (11-0049) Prohibits Abortions for Females Under 18 Without Parental Notification and Waiting Period. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.
New Initiative Cleared for Circulation.

1525. (11-0048) Prohibits Abortions for Females Under 18 Without Parental Notification. Initiative Constitutional Amendment.
New Initiative Cleared for Circulation.

11-0086 - "Tax to Fund Free State Resident Tuition at UC and CSU"
Initiative Pending at the Attorney General's Office.

11-0087 - "Protect Homeowners and Close Corporate Tax Loopholes Act"
Initiative Pending at the Attorney General's Office.

They're proposing to tax every resident of this state, except head-of-households, the way I read it. Tuition-free, and fee-free college education for all, is also the way I read it. A california resident only has to live here continually for 6 months, so anyone getting here and getting an adress of record can go to school free. Doesn't matter where you're from, legal or no, taxpayer or no. Basically, the california taxpayer will then be on the hok to finance the college education for any foriegner who can get here.
