Default Farmers Insurance Buys And White-Washes Complaint Site

My wife was previously employed by Farmers for many years. A little over a year ago Farmers started beating her to death with reviews and piling on more work than was humanly possible. Her life became unbearable, although she wanted to stay with them until retirement, still some years ahead. But then things got even worse, as Farmers began terminating the tenured employees that had the good salary, benefits, and profit sharing. The slightest infractions were recorded; Employees were told they were not keeping up with workloads, and were also given surprise cases that needed immediate attention, and then blamed when the impossible could not be attained. Towards the end of her abuse, I ran my usual searches and found hordes of employees under the same circumstances. I located one website that was literally awash in former and present workers who were relaying the same stories as my wife's, and the writing was beyond on-the-wall. They called her in one day, and as predicted, terminated her. She was prepared for it by reading the posts on that website, as her fate followed a nearly identical pattern as so many others. For months afterwards I checked that website now and again as more Farmers employees relayed their stories. That thread stood out as a sore thumb and black eye for the company, and was actually becoming a warning beacon for new hires as more and more posts appeared with very unflattering remarks.
Tonight I clicked on the page to find that all of the negative comments were removed and only gratuitously becoming posts were left. It slimmed the thread down from 50 pages to four. In addition, the name of the website was changed slightly, but the link has a re-direct. I ran a search to see who owns the site, and found it a proxy named :One Happy Webhost Customer.

These big corps will do anything to silence opposition.

Start up another complaint site and see if they'll buy that one too.

Perhaps corporate America's focus on spending twenty dollars to save a nickle might be your wife's retirement fund.

Default Just curious ?

If so many good employees are being terminated - then just who keeps up with the work load ?

Is Punjabi or Urdu heard being spoken around the office ? Or "Spanol" ?

The workload was accelerating because they had already trimmed the workforce to ridiculous levels to save costs. Caseloads were then piled on to existing agents, and many cases were either lost or sent to litigation for the lawyers to lowball and attempt further dissuasion. They were not keeping up with the workload, and more and more cases were ending up in court instead of settlement. I haven't ever had a Farmers policy myself, but from a few websites that still exist you can tell they have become notorious for lowballing lately.
There are some new foreign language speakers being hired, but mainly they are looking for new, younger recruits they can abuse, pay less, and offer less bennies to.

This sort of thing is going on in many industries. I believe this corporate "fad" has been going on for about twenty years and has been accelerating ever since.

A multibillion dollar corporation I work for for 15 years started it about 1991 or so. The company is unrecognizable to what it was in 1981. By comparison it was an "Olympic athlete" back then, now I'm reminded of an epileptic killing snakes. They bought out or ran off their experience with the idea that the company could replace an experienced workforce by running inexperienced trainees through a two week training course.

They were wrong, and they are paying for it in many ways now.

Good morning everyone, I have the use of my laptop finally and my pc next week.

Is there any question as to why it seems nothing is functioning today? We've become 'the cheepist way to do it' as our motto. Forty years ago the USA was known as an inovative and quality producer, we were the acme of world production and creativity. Now we're competing with third world producers and losing.

But when a company or business complains that they're paying taxes and overhead while these third worlders undercut them the leftist/communists/socialist cry, "They're only trying to put food on the table" as I heard on the news just yesterday. There seems to be a problem in the Los Felix (can't for the life of me figure out if that's spelled correctly, but it's by Griffith Park) where people are parking their cars along the side of the road and putting for sale signs on them.
Well a reporter went there to check it out and found three cars with basically the same signs with the same handwritting but different phone numbers on each. There was a guy there wiping down the windows of one of the three cars, so the reporter asked him if they were his cars. He replied "no, that he was just there to clean them" so the reporter called one of the phone numbers. Well a woman answered, not knowing it was a reporter calling and said her husband was there and was cleaning the cars, and told the reporter to talk to him about buying the car.
So the reporter then went up to the man cleaning the cars and said, "These are your cars, I want to ask you about them" to which the guy replied, "No, no I, no I, no" Then the reporter said "I want to ask you about the cars you have parked here" to which the guy then replied "I no speak English, I no speak English." The reporter then said, "You speak English, yes you speak English". The guy then replied again "I no speak English" and got into the car quickly and drove away.

The news then read comments that people had posted on twittered about the interview. The first one was from someone who owned a used car business that read: "I pay all my taxes and the cost of running a business, yet these people pay nothing and undercut my prices and I'm struggleing to stay open."
The next one read:"How terrible of those reporters and the news to go after those poor people. In this terrible ecconomy people are struggleing to survive, they're just trying to put food on the table."

This is the attitude of California, screw business and let the "poor" do what ever they want because they're the victims of the greedy businesses. Yet, those same "victims" complain they can't find a job or aren't being paid enough.

Again, do they ever ask why it seems nothing is functioning? This attitude is having an impact on all businesses and services. Our quality of product and services is being cut to the lowest denominator as we compete with the "global economy" and lower our standards to theirs instead of theirs trying to raise to ours. This attitude of 'we're just selfish American using up and exploiting the world' along with the appology tour of Obama, has a great deal to do with it. The liberal/socialist/progressives are more conserned with raising the third world and what impact or consiquences it has on the USA are just insignificant. They think they're the Gandi's and Mother Terrisa's of today and totally ignore what this country and its accomplishments have done to help so many. What will happen when the USA can not come the the rescue in the future? Who will they blame them?

Welcome back Jean.
I dedicate Bob Dylan's song "Everything Is Broken" to all Americans as it is apparent that everything in our country is indeed broken.
