Default Governor Brown Signs DREAM Act Companion Bill Inot Law

This is not the "THE" DREAM Act, but it's a portion of it. It basically allows illegals to qualify for student aid if the aid is from private sources, not government aid

That's kind of odd. If student aid is being provided by private sources, why should the state government have anything to do about it at all? And really, the question is not even whether the illegals should be getting aid, it is more to the point that they should not be allowed in colleges and universities at all. If you cannot demonstrate that you are either a citizen or in the country legally, you shouldn't even be allowed on campus.

I'll bet the whole student aid question for illegals is really a cover for the more basic issue: Illegal immigrants should not be anywhere in any education system anywhere. Anyone who admits an illegal to some kind of educational system is aiding and abetting illegal immigration. It should be the same kind of crime as hiring one. And since legal immigration is a always a problem related to illegal immigration, we should be more aggressive in making sure that legal immigrants in our educational system be excluded from the possibility of employment here after graduation.

Time again to wake up and choose another tack.
