I wasn't sure if I should post this or not. What always galls me is the fact that Americans (the naive PC ones) seem to think that foreigners are "just like us", are raised pretty much the same, and don't bring odd ideas with them.

I don't know if this is the best example to blow that thesis away - it is however an extreme example.

Face it. There is such a thing as bad culture. It has been a historical weakness of this country that it is unwilling as a civic matter to confront bad culture. The best attack we have is our legal system which criminalizes certain cultural practices and creates a setting where we might allow culture to struggle for itself.

Drug use, for example, is licensed to some native American cultures.

Notice the Muslims struggling to implement Sharia law in both the US and Europe.
