Default Sparks flew at the LA County Republican "Holiday" party!

Sparks flew at the LA County Republican Party “Holiday” party!

A report from the Dec. 11th 2013, LA County Republican “holiday” party.

I was invited to the Dec. 11th “Holiday”, party hosted at Barney’s Beanery Restaurant in Westwood.
I went with another Tea Party friend of mine and a NO AMNESTY sign to proudly display at our table. I also brought copies of the attached Petition http://wethepeoplerising.wordpress.c...mnesty-letter/that was signed by 15 wayward California Republican Assemblymen, who secretly petitioned John Boehner and all California Republican Congressmen to pass amnesty and mass legalization of illegal aliens.

Thinking it was safe to have a “No Amnesty” sign displayed at a private Republican gathering, I soon found out that I was mistaken. Some time after I placed the sign at our table, several Republican “officials” noticed the “No Amnesty”, sign and they quickly became incensed, and fiercely demanded that I take down the sign, They exclaimed that this was a private gathering and not intended for political discussions, (Imagine enforcing the no political discussions rule at a Republican party gathering).

Judging from the anger coming from the LA County Republican party organizers, it was obvious to all, that a no amnesty message would not be tolerated at this Republican setting.
I told the LA Republican Party officials that were enraged by the “No Amnesty” sign, that I was invited to the gathering; I then showed them the invitation. I then told them that if I was not allowed to display the sign I would leave and display the “No Amnesty” sign in front of the restaurant for the Republican attendees to see as they arrived. Soon afterward the Republican official ordered the security to escort me out of the party.

True to my word I proudly stood in front of the restaurant, with the “No Amnesty” sign and handed out copies of the amnesty petition that 15 of our sell out Republican Assemblymen drafted and signed.

As I stood outside of the restaurant I had a great exchange with quite a few attendees, as I held my sign and passed out copies of the amnesty petition. Many of the Republican attendees were genuinely shocked to hear of the amnesty petition coming from 15 of our Republican Assemblymen.

Just as the LA Republican Party officials rushed to get rid of the “No amnesty” message from their midst, It is important to note that many in the Republican establishment are doing the same thing on a State and Federal level…rushing to crush any dissent on mass amnesty,

Judging from this encounter, control seems to be quite a priority for the Republican party of today. Deviation and challenges to that control seem to be dealt with swiftly.
Though the Republican Party of California is currently greatly diminished and in deep minority status, crushing opposition to party line seems to be more of a priority than growing its numbers.

The question remains, can the tight party control that wants to crush dissent on enormously popular issues such as opposition to amnesty; still win elections?

Driving out the Tea Party, and passing some sort of amnesty for illegal aliens, is definitely an objective of the Republican establishment of today, but isn’t that a little like amputating the right arm of a baseball player and then expecting a home run?

The LA Republican “holiday” party at Barney’s Beanery was a real gas.

Sincerely,
Greg in La

Greg, you are a hero, and I sure wish I could have been there with you. I share your concerns over the nazi style that is exhibited by some factions of the current republican party hierarchy. I've ran into that a few times up here also. Seems to me that some of those folks want the party to exist more than they want the conservative agendas pressed.

Hey man......keep up the good work, and I'm glad you were able to connect with Robin down there. She's been one of my favorite activists for a little under ten years now.

Yeah, Robin is awesome. She just doesn't stop.
I don't know how she does it but she organizes several rallies and Congressional office visits every week, and I'm not exaggerating.

Today alone she led a group to Congressmen Campbell's office.

Anyway thanks for the compliment Ayatollah. Robin and the Bakersfield Tea Party emailed out my recap of the incident at the Republican "Holiday" party. Hundreds more are reading about what happened then actually went to the party.

I think the Republican party of LA is going to find out they made a big mistake.

I'm learning that the Tea Party has a way of standing up for itself.

I had that report emailed to me and was so angry when I read it. They certainly don't represent me. Remember talking in the parking lot and I said it is the independents that are the swing vote and they will decide the elections. A lot of people have lost faith in both the main parties and situations like this are the main reason why.

Greg you are to be admired.

Thank you for the compliment Jean.

Although I didn't know it at the time, It turns out that one of the guy's that had me removed from the "Holiday", party was Mark Vafiades, who is currently the Chairman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles.
Do you think that matters?

It's good to know that it's the leadership that can't stand the message.

First, thank you for what you are doing, Greg.

I think it does matter because those guys set the agenda for which republican candidate they will support for the 2014 election.

Same thing over at the Democrat side. They ran over two other wanna be candidates in order to support knucklehead Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar d. for the 31st congressional district. I forget the fine / full details of the debacle, but it seems there are charges of dirty pool being leveled at the democrat leadership for ram rodding Aguilar through the selection process. I believe "Working for Mexico" former representative Joe Baca was elbowed out of the way.

Which, if I have it right, seems nuts to me for them to fulfill their agenda. Baca has years of lever pulling experience in congress as well as having his head shoulder deep up racist UCR professor Armando Navarro's anus. I view Aguilar as a semi thinking racist lunatic who somehow stumbled into city hall.

There's a lot on both sides I just don't understand.

Default Greg:

That's pretty disturbing conduct for a fellow Republican.

I wasn't there and I don't have the full story from Both sides so I will refrain from further comments.

However I will interject that whenever we patriots encounter sanctimonious hypocrisy we need to stand up and speak out..
