Default Reid's DREAM Act

The Senate Majority leader doesn't have the votes necessary for the amnesty his party wants. Consequently, he is attempting to "back door" a partial dressed-up amnesty for young illegal aliens (The DREAM Act) by tacking it on to some defense spending legislation.

If you disapprove, call Congress and let your opinion be known.

The Dream Act - A Zombie
By Rick Oltman

The Dream Act has returned. Like a zombie it just keeps coming back, reanimated periodically so that open borders politicians and the amnesty lobby can show their constituents that they are actually doing something for the illegal aliens in our country.

On September 14th, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV announced that he will bring the DREAM Act up for a vote on the Senate floor as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.

How nice.

Why now? Call me cynical, but I think it just might have something to do with the fact that open borders organizations are very busy right now registering people to vote. Check out Mobilize the Vote!

Of the 100-plus community-based organizations across California that participate in MIV's annual campaigns, how many would you guess support amnesty for illegal aliens? The connection here is not a coincidence.

Back to the Zombie. The Dream Act is riddled with potential corruption, but don't be confused, it isn't only about "students."

From Wikipedia:

According to the 2009 version of the senate bill, DREAM Act beneficiaries must:
• Have proof of having arrived in the United States before age 16.
• Have proof of residence in the United States for a least five consecutive years since their date of arrival, compliance with Selective Service.
• Be between the ages of 12 and 35 at the time of bill enactment.
• Have graduated from an American high school or obtained a GED.
• Be of good moral character

Have proof of having arrived in the United States before age 16
What kind of proof would that be? And, regardless of whether the document is real, or a forgery, who is going to verify the information? Answer: Nobody

Proof of residence for at least 5 consecutive years?
This is so general a requirement it is meaningless. Again, if any documentation could be provided, who will verify that it is valid and not a forgery? Answer: Nobody

Be between the ages of 12 and 35 at the time of bill enactment.
Excuse me? Between the ages of 12 and 35? I thought the "Dream Act" was about making sure that kids who graduated from high schools in the U.S. were allowed into college. It just so happens that 35.5 years is the median age for illegal aliens in our country, according to the Pew Hispanic Center report dated August 11, 2010 Unauthorized Immigrants (translation; Illegal Aliens) and their U.S. - Born Children The Dream Act So this "Dream Act" seems to cover almost all of the approximately 30 million illegal aliens in the country.

Be of good moral character.
One could argue that people over 21 (adults) who have come to our country illegally, are working here illegally (which means they have committed at least two felonies to get that job) don't have a good moral character. But with moral standards crumbling today you would probably lose that argument.

Oppose the Zombie
You can easily let the U.S. Senators in your state know that you oppose this zombie. The political elite know what the polls are saying; that most Americans oppose amnesty and support immigration enforcement. By contacting your elected officials you are validating those polls.

The California Dream Act of 2010
California has it's own version of the Dream Act. Sen. Gil Cedillo's SB 1460 is sitting on Governor Schwarzenegger's desk awaiting approval or veto. The California Dream Act would give illegal aliens in-state tuition and access to education loans. Contact the Governator and let him know you oppose this bill.

The Dream Act is an amnesty in disguise.

In the movies there are many ways to kill a zombie. The way to kill the Dream Act is to contact your elected officials. Please contact them, today.

Can't think of a better reason to grow some new calluses on my fingers. It's been a while. Hopefully, we can shut this down just like Kennedy-Mcain.

Fox News reports about the DREAM Act are being heavily accessed on Youtube. The anchor babies and illegals are posting comments by the hundreds, now that they know a vote on the partial amnesty legislation is nearing.

These were some of my favorites (white woman, blonde and this woman are references to the host who was interviewing Luis Gutierrez):

im gonna pray that dream act happens cause i want my latino brothers to be able to go to colledge

well in a way every single american is an illegal immigrant. because this land was stolen from the natives. the only thing i can see that will change the minds of super closed minded individuals is if they had this happening to them. But we will see if when their position as a world leader changes if the countrys of the world will show them the same respect they have showed them throughout history. which would be genesaid, murder, theft, consentration camps, and racism.

The Dream Act is a much needed act that I see is desperately needed among my students. If they are contributing to society, wether it be armed forces, general labor or what have you, they have every right as any of us to be labeled citizens. Lets not forget what this country is founded from, where it came from and how it started. The history of the United States supports the Dream Act. Vote Yes on Dream Act.

I don't know how long it'll "rest in peace", but notice how Harry Reid voted against His own attachment to the Military apropriation bill.
He'll just bring it up on another bill, like His usual tactic.
Listening to NV radio, He's pretty scared that Susan Engles is more than likely to toss His sorry butt out, so a no vote actually is'nt to suprising.

Thank God this did'nt go through!!
And THANKS to all that called-faxed-emailed Your supposed Representitive, even though Boxer & Feinstein voted for it, like usual.

By God, I didn't notice that. Oh well, thanks for the favor, Harry.

Reid voted against it as a procedural move to enable its' resurrection again. Keep your eyes on the ball, 'cause he's planning a rematch
