From today's San Bernardino Sun:
APPLE VALLEY Backers of Arizona law on immigration plan rally A group of coalitions supporting Arizona's new immigration law will hold a High Desert sunset rally at 6 p.m. Saturday in front of the Petsmart shopping center, 19011 Bear Valley Road , according to a news release from Raymond Herrera, founder and president of We The People, California's Crusader. Herrera is encouraging supporters of the law to write thank-you cards to Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and sign a petition to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder protesting the Justice Department lawsuit seeking invalidation of the Arizona law.

Hope to see many of you there. But be careful of those traffic lights on that corner. They are geared to give tickets to anyone they can.

Well, what happened? Did someone attend? If you did, you are aware that I was Mr. Absenteeism (sick as a dog yesterday). Did opposition show up? Were there supportive cheers? What transpired?

I missed your signs SZ. It was a nice group of people. We had a few show us the hang nails on their middle finger, but it was mostly honk, honk, honk. We got rained on and most of stayed until the sun was getting ready to go down. I was impressed at how many gave us thumbs up. And they weren't old white people either. Everyone is beginning to open up and show what side they are on. One old guy went around about 5 times with a boy around the age of 10 in the car. He finally told me, that he was not going to let that happen, and sped off as the light turned green.
Hope you all can come to the next one. It was great seeing my rally buddies, but it was also great seeing the new people. Thanks Robin and Ray for all your work. |
