Left-right gulf will widen after November elections

This is not ultimately a radical nation, and those Republicans who are in love with radical notions of remaking the society to fit their own philosophy will have to be brought back in touch with reality.

This is not ultimately a socialist nation, and those Democrats who are in love with socialist notions of remaking the society to fit their own philosophy will be brought back in touch with reality.

One of the reasons why I have such a distaste for Democrats in particular and liberals in general is the hubris they have. Yes, the gulf will widen between left and right. That is not necessarily a bad thing. The more the left goes socialist, the more the "middle" will swing right. The reason is simple, America is a middle-right nation.
