Default Salinas, CA...Mexicans Gentrify Northern California

While on tour this past week, we went through Salinas a few times. It was really eye opening...actually it was something that made me want to close my eyes, to see just how much mexico infects little towns like that. Everywhere you look there was a mexican food restaurant; Everywhere you looked, there was an illegal vendor. Spanish everywhere, and graffiti as well. Mexican culture is devouring a once diverse American city. Salinas is also a gang town, with one recent shooting adding up to 6 paticipants/victims. The cause of this is the growers insatiable desire for cheap labor, and mexicans adherance to their nationalism and culture. These parasites are totally unwilling to assimilate, or even be flexible in fitting in. Instead of enriching this area, they are dragging it down to mexico's level. Thank the growers. They used to be farmers, but now they're growers.
