Default Uh-Oh! City Takes Aim At Mobile Billboards

Hope this don't catch on

Quote:
LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas City Council has adopted an ordinance that will keep mobile billboards away from residential neighborhoods.

The council approved the ordinance on Wednesday. It will bar parking a mobile billboard within 500 feet of apartments, condominiums and single-family homes.

The ordinance was prompted after Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese heard complaints that an escort service billboard was being driven around a residential neighborhood.

The ordinance takes effect Sunday. It doesn't apply to taxis or business vehicles - so long as the sign on the vehicle advertises just that business.
