America's Third War: Is the U.S. Arming Mexican Cartels?

Outside of the knuckleheads at ATF who strong armed some American arms dealers into selling to obvious straw purchasers I would say that it is either stolen from Mexican armories or coming from other Latin American countries.

Most of the pictures I have seen of arms confiscations in Mexico depict armament in the Mexican military inventory, which includes weapons manufactured in countries such as Germany. They do have M16s and other American military issue, but it's in the minority.

Besides, weapons such as soviet bloc RPGs and other like weapons clearly don't come from the US.

I believe most of the noise is coming from Mexican politicians who want to see America sport a black eye, and American anti gun nuts who are busy carrying Mexico's water.
