Default Peyton Manning

The Tim55's of this world should be interested in this info:

When naming the Top 100 players in NFL history, a panel of sportswriters, etc. have named Indianapolis's quarterback as one of the Top 10 players in history.

Peyton is now rubbing shoulders with Payton, Brown, Rice, etc.

Interesting. Where does Joe Montana rank on this list?

Peyton Manning is simply the greatest QB ever to play in the NFL at this point in time. If the guy had a couple more SB wins, this would be indisputable. If he gets 3 to 5 more years out of his career, and maybe another SB win or two, there can be no argument. And for you, Samola, Brees is pretty good also. Just not in the same league as Peyton.

UPDATE: After yesterday's NFL contests, the sportswriters and assembled experts have revised their earlier rankings.

It has now been universally agreed upon that Michael Vick is both the greatest humanitarian and quarterback of all time. Peyton Manning, by contrast, is now ranked just below Bobby Hebert and one slot above Jon Fourcade.

Speaking of LOL, I really don't see how Charlie Joiner and Steve Largent get left off a list like this. And the same could be said for Art Monk.

As for Peyton Manning, I can certainly see the statistical argument for his inclusion in the Top 10 ... although I imagine Tom Brady would like the opportunity to be heard on the issue of Manning being placed on a higher pedestal in this list. Further, Terry Bradshaw might take exception to being behind Brett "Penis Pics" Favre and a couple other people listed above him, who played the same position.

Good points on all three. They all had very strong numbers, except that Joiner and Largent never made it to the Super Bowl.

To me, Brady has done more with less, and should get a nod over Manning.

Bret Favre is THE MOST over rated QB in NFL history, period.
