Default Sign of the times ?

Just an observation. This site seems to be into the doldrums. Many days pass with no participation. Maybe people are just saturated. Maybe the current political palaver that dominates the airwaves has preempted personal involvement, street demos and other actions. Who knows. AG said activity is down on many sites.

My Son in Law said, over Christmas, that people are too busy pursuing daily activities, paying the bills, concentrating on other things to worry about illegal immigrants. Here's some input. Many years ago I bought a Swiss/French platinum wrist watch for my wife. Currently I'm passing it on to heirs. Yesterday I posted on a "watch" website asking for help, information and names of vintage watch jewelers to obtain more data and current value. From 9:30 AM to noon I got 21 *( twenty one ) "views" on my post !!!!!!! Another post asked what diameter watch men liked, big, small, intermediate 38MM, 50mm, 60 mm. The post had now two pages of replies and over 68 respondents all discussing the diameter of a wrist watch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to the matter of the question at hand, and invitation, about the Dream Act
and content of video, it is, of course, produced by the open borders, Latino/Hispanic pandering crowd of socialists, Communists, Aztlanders typically spewing their propaganda and searching for loop holes and opportunities to advance their agenda. Hoping to flip politicians.

Federal Customs and Immigration laws have been posted here several times. As we all know every President, regardless of party, is influenced by the Latinos/Hispanics and just won't secure the border or vigorously apply the laws consistently. George is alleged to have said that the Constitution is just a GD piece of paper. The reality is that "they" are corrupt, lawless and derelict.

For my part, I have ZERO tolerance for the illegal aliens who were brought here by parents at an early age. As they acclimated here to the English language and American culture, they can equally acclimate back home when they return. This is not a problem that I will accept nor a guilt trip that I will accommodate. It is the problem of the PARENTS and the nation of origin to accommodate returning aliens. They created it. They must resolve it. They simply cannot bring their problems here and dump on us.

As to the Dream act allowing the aliens to go to college, they are still unemployable illegal aliens, just better educated. Go home get in the back of the line and apply like everyone else.

I lived in Latin America and travelled all countries for years. I know them. The Ingenieros and Licenciados, upper society, are very good people who I like a lot. Very decent, kind and hospitable to me. That means the wife's and families as well as business associates who entertained me in their homes. I had many friends who I respected and it was mutual. I love Latino cuisine from the many diverse countries and I like the music of some.

A significant portion of the border crashers, low life's, campesinos, bandit's are chueco - crooked, dishonest, disreputable, the absolute dregs of society. Liars, cheats, misfits and worse. I had my events and observations with them in Latin America.

If there is anyone who deludes themselves into thinking that these applicants for the Dream Act will be honest and forthcoming about the time of arrival, duration of residence, they themselves are Dreaming. The paperwork and sworn testimony will, be replete with counterfeit documents prevarications and deception.

I have been against Illegal Invaders ever since we were invaded by the boat people.
I am sorry to see some people suffer because of their governments, however, we are now in the same boat with them. They are not coming to the land of milk and honey any more.
This is not a Dem or Rep problem but poor or bad politicians.

I am tired of hearing about conservative, liberal, evangelical, left and right. Why can't we look at what is best for our country and 'our' people.

There are a lot of people who demonize Obama but the GOP blocks any thing he tries to do. He is not given credit for anything. This is not a plug for Obama but just the naked truth.

I often wonder what happened to all those I was on the streets with a few years ago.
I have not changed but I cannot do as much as I once did.

Yes, we barely have anyone post any more. I don't because I am trying to do all my own work so I do not have to even try to find anyone who is legal.
I am tiread of trying to talk to someone I can not under stand English.

Sorry to say, but the 2012 election is tearing us apart, and still 10 months to go.

Not true. I believe he deserves the lion's share of credit for Obamacare and running up the national debt to the tune of 5 trillion plus in three years.

We've been short on funds, and I've been sick for a couple weeks. Before that we did not want to do anything that might detract from Donnelly's initiative. I'm getting better, and I did get one small job which will bring in a little income, and as always, I use a little bit of it to do some events. We will pick up again. And as WeTibbe said, many sites are down in participation. One gun forum has been quiet as hell after AB144 took effect. Several others are slower also. It's not unusual that people would gravitate to, or patronize forums like the "watch" one mentioned. Those don't require activism, or put one at risk. What we do here is for the special breed.
There aren't as many of us that will lead the pack, or just stick with it when the popularity wanes. I've mentioned this before, but as a non-profit public benefit corp, we are similar to a church, and our agenda is our creed. We don't alter our agenda because the interest wanes anymore than the catholic church, the jewish faith, or the budhist's would.
It'll pick up again, maybe when the weather gets better, but for sure when something sparks that creative urge and hits a note with our wayward flock
Have some faith.

DA, we fell into a pot of boiling water in 2008.....before the election. I don't think any of us realized just hot the water was. I knew it was hot but not boiling.
I will never forget when the politicians returned to DC to try and figure out what to do. The scene of Henry Paulson on his knee begging Pelosi to do something.

AG, sorry about the illness, hope you are better and at it again soon.
It is like we have given up everything.
I do believe most people hate Obama so much that they would rather our country completely fail than work with him. We are a domocracy and not ruled by one person. I wonder just where we would be if McCain had won the election. I doubt the only difference would be that the GOP would all be behind him.
I cannot remember a single President that I was completely satisfied with. Just in case we forget, a President signs bills, he/she cannot paass the bill.

I look at the field of wantabees in the Primary and want to cry. I felt the same way about CA Governor, there was no one worth while to vote for and just look what we have. It gets worse with each election.

I've been having some computer problems as of late and haven't been able to do much with the board. But, in the past I've been accused of being on here too much by some. Just can't make some people happy I guess.

As soon as possible I'll put more time into updating the board and focus on where we need to put our energy.

I think most people who've had enough of Obama would just prefer to work w/o him ... which is pretty much the point of this coming election.

Thanks for the input, however, that bunch in the GOP primary look like the Jackie Gleeson show.

As Ralph and Norton never managed to blow 5 trillion in any of their numerous money-making schemes, they'd likely be an improvement over the current administration.
