Are you serious? Students have access to all kinds of political advertisements both on and off school grounds. They can walk off campus and see billboards on the sides of busses that lobby for one cause or another; They can walk to and from school and see ads on billboards high in the air from ClearChannel, Turner Media, and anyone who musters the will and funds. They also pass out their own fliers from PTA and local interest groups both on and off campus. How in the hell do you stop free speech and commercial advertisement? You cannot. This legislation wishes to control the flow of it so as to control the content. They didn't aim it at anyone except small political groups that have content they don't like. Your proposal is to fight back by opposing all political speech near a school? Good luck with that one. It would be shot down by the ACLU, the courts, and just about every faction of the political party spectrum, who I might add, are up to their noses in political outreach to students.

If people have political access to students inside the schools, then SOS shouls be able to claim equal access to make sure they also have an opportunity to represent themselves. But if you ask me nobody should have political access to students in schools and SOS should not participate in this and any efforts they make in this regard should be removing this kind of influence and not pariticipating in it.
There has to be a starting point, the education system is essentially composed of far left propaganda - the kids aren't being taught to discuss and reason. You see it in the two kids in the above video - the school system hasn't helped either one of them in that regard.

You know exactly what I am talking about. I am talking about directly and deliberately politically targeting school kids as they are coming and going to school. That's what you are doing. It's wrong to do that and SOS should not participate in that kind of activity. If SOS wants to confront subversive elements in the schools, that is not the way to do it.

If subversives are getting access to kids inside the schools, it is enough to complain that public education is not being served by hosting these kinds of activities. Nobody cares if somebody just objects to the content being delivered, but somebody might care if they are reminded that public education has some basic goals that have to be filled in some limited amount of time and that distracting students with politics best left to adults is a waste of the student's time.

How would you do it? merely complaining to the district administration isn't going to change a thing.

Go to a PTA or other school meeting, bring up this issue along with your motion to stop it, and post the result here.
