Border Patrol wrapup: Gang members arrested
A summary of Border Patrol activities in the Tucson Sector over the past 24 hours, provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection:
Arrests
Naco Station agents apprehended a 40-year-old Mexican national for illegal entry Wednesday who, according to record checks, was convicted for lewd acts with a child in North Carolina in 2009. He was being criminally prosecuted for re-entry of an aggravated felon.

Tucson Station agents apprehended a 35-year-old man from El Salvador on Wednesday for illegal entry. During processing, records revealed he was a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang with felony convictions for robbery and domestic violence in California. He is being criminally prosecuted for re-entry of an aggravated felon.
A 33-year-old man from Nogales, Sonora, was apprehended Wednesday by Douglas Station agents for illegal entry. The man admitted to being a member of the Border Brothers gang. A records check revealed he has a federal conviction for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Arizona and served 30 months in prison. He was being criminally prosecuted for re-entry of an aggravated felon.
Rescues and recoveries
Ajo Station agents human remains in the West Desert on Wednesday near the Organ Pipe National Monument. The scene was turned over to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department
On Thursday morning, Ajo Station agents discovered human skeletal remains in the West Desert. PCSD took over the investigation.
Tucson Sector Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) agents responded to a 911 call near Three Points early Thursday and found an illegal immigrant who was given first aid. He was transported to the Tucson Coordination Center for processing and removal.
