The Chicago teachers union is the highest paid in the USA, $79,000 annually while the median American household income is $49,000. Predicated on not having a raise in 5 years, wanting not to be evaluated, the teachers went out on strike. So much for the Good Buddy attitude. Emanuel wouldn't roll over. So it jumped ugly. They are at loggerheads. So they bit him.
