HARDIN, Texas - An FBI spokeswoman has confirmed the agency is assisting Liberty County Sheriff's Office investigators after a report of mass graves found north of Daisetta.
Investigators have closed the intersection of County Road 2048 and County Road 2049 in Hardin, according to a news report from The Cleveland Advocate.
Sheriff's deputies are investigating the intersection and a home on CR 2048 acting on information they were alerted to Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Liberty County Sheriff's Office told The Cleveland Advocate that deputies were trying to obtain a warrant to search the home.
A cadaver dog is assisting in the search effort for as many as 30 bodies, according to The Cleveland Advocate.
