Mexico Will Not Accept US Troops to Fight Drug Cartels
The Mexican government will not accept U.S. troops into its country to combat drug cartels, Mexico's ambassador to the United States said here Monday.
"That option is not on the table," Arturo Sarukhan said during a press conference at the Mexican Embassy in Washington.
The remark came in response to a question from Efe about Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry's suggestion that if he wins in 2012, he would send U.S. troops to Mexico to help combat organized crime.
During a campaign event in New Hampshire, the Texas governor compared Mexico's current situation to that of the 1980s and '90s in Colombia, the No. 3 recipient of U.S. aid.
As governor of a border state, Perry has insisted on the presence of the National Guard on the international boundary as a deterrent to drug trafficking and illegal immigration, but this was the first time he has come out in favor of sending troops into Mexican territory.
Perry said that the level of violence in Mexico could require American military support, so he would be open to the possibility of sending troops to the neighboring country.
But Sarukhan said that the presence of U.S. troops in his country does not figure in the cooperation agreements between the two countries in the war on drugs.
Sarukhan recalled that, in the last five years, there has been a "paradigm shift" in the fight against drug trafficking, which now emphasizes "shared responsibility."
The ambassador said "there is nothing new" in the Mexican government's opposition to a U.S. troop presence south of the border.

Only a fool would send US military to Mexico unless it was a complete invasion of the country. I do not want any part of Mexico. I hear there are a few LEO there helping with the drug cartels and I do not approve of that. How long before those are found some place with their heads cut off?

What is more likely is that the US military in Mexico becomes a job program for anchor babies. Remember that the US in Mexico would mean that military personnel there would be preferred for Spanish speakers. The same goes for any LEO we have down there. And since the Hispanic presence in the US is largely the product of corruption, we can assume that any LEO we have down there is headed the same way. After all, it is Mexican organized crime that makes immigration into the US possible at all, their progeny makes it into law enforcement and they swim back to the place they were spawned to reproduce again.

Remember also that we grant special opportunities for immigration for those who join the US military. And so it would be bound to become another immigration program. All in all, a real nightmare in the making.

It also helps to remember what a useless pile the Mexican military is. Even Africans are better represented among the world's professional soldiers from countries that are not Mexico's economic equal.

Half plausible and half baked.

Which ever way..........NO US MILITARY IN MEXICO. Just
US military on the US side of the border prepared to stop any north bound traffic of any kind. Not every target would be Mexican either.
No one is serious about the border, even those who say they are for it.
