Default An Immigration Reform We can Tolerate?

Let's say some sort of immigration plan is inevitable. Let's face it too; there is one now that is unspoken. We no illegals are being legalized bit-by-bit here and there. In addition to fighting amnesty, I suggest we formulate a plan to submit, as opposed to one the congress would hack up and attempt to ram down our throats. Not one of us like any small bit of what they tried to choke us with last time. I say it's our turn; Let's draft our reform plan, right here; right now. Here is a start, and by no means a hard and fast one. But fast should be in our thoughts. Please submit your own ideas here

An immigration reform plan we can tolerate.

First off, no blanket amnesty. Not for anyone. That goes for illegals who were brought here for no fault of their own

Children....read..those who were 12 and under when they arrived in the US illegally, can get permanent alien residency so long as they don't take up arms against the US, or threaten to destabilize or otherwise cause revolt or insurrection. Permanent alien residency means permanent work permits, but never citizenship, nor any voting rights. Sorry, but some things go beyond any one or small group of, persons. Native born Americans have the right to control their government, and that means restricting that government's ability to import voters of their choosing.

Children over 12 years when they arrived will be given TEMPORARY visas, and renewable work permits. Deportable for ANY felony, mandatory deportation for serial felony convictions. No citizenship unless they return to their home countries for 5 years or more, and then apply for re-entry, and naturalization with no special preferences for being an illegal alien previously. This category shall not apply to any illegal alien who entered on their own free will, and without their immediate family member

Illegal aliens over the age of 18 years old when they arrived illegally are deportable immediately for any misdemeanor crime convictions where a fine is not paid, restitution not paid, or sentence un-served due to failure to complete sentencing. Deportable immediately for any warrants in which the subject evades capture in any way, including using false identity

Illegal aliens over the age of 18 years old when they arrived illegally are given temporary visas and work permits for 2 years, after which they must voluntarily return to their native country. The temporary work permits and visas shall serve as time to earn funds and get their affairs in order.

Any illegal alien who completes this process honorably shall be afforded the opportunity to apply for a temporary visa after 3 years from the date of repatriation. If their application is accepted, they may also apply for temporary work permits authorized by congress on an equal basis with every other foreign born applicant. No citizenship; not ever. permanent ban on citizenship or voting rights.

Any illegal alien who does not repatriate voluntarily during the two year period shall be subject to immediate deportation, and shall be deported with a 10 year prohibition on re-entry, as well as no chance of citizenship or voting rights.

In exchange for this, the native born citizen shall demand immigration law enforcement:

Any visa overstay beyond 1 year that was not caused by an extreme family emergency, unavoidable medical incapitation, or arrest but no conviction, or having been the victim of a serious crime in which the person was rendered immobile, shall be immediately deported and a 5 year ban on returning shall apply. A second offense shall cause a 10 year ban

Any new illegal entry by breach of US borders is subject to deportation immediately. Anyone claiming asylum shall do so from a neutral position set up at the US border, and not be paroled in the US while the case is heard. The US has enough money to cause hearings in short order for this; we must engage it.

The US federal government shall enforce work visa rules diligently

the US federal government shall bring legal actions against states and municipalities who offer refuge to illegal aliens in any form. This means offering driver's licenses, work authorizations, or sanctuaries.

The US federal government shall revoke tax exempt status of any institutions who engage in subverting US immigration laws or offer or declare themselves sanctuaries from immigration law.

The US government shall order the internal revenue service to investigate complaints where an ITIN is being used by a person without lawful presence in the US when that person's income reasonably appears to be derived from an ongoing job or business within the US borders

The US citizen shall have the right to attend court hearings in which immigration matters are heard

The US Citizen shall have the right to inspect immigration case records, except those in which asylum is requested, and the requests are based upon sexual assaults, national security interests, or those involving minors. In the cases involving sexual assaults and minors, the public's right to inspect shall aplly to everything except the identities or identifying information

Default Waste of time.

We already have customs and Immigration laws in abundance that are being ignored wholesale. What's the point in rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic ?

It doesn't matter how the existing laws are weakened modified or expunged. The same old, same old's will continue to lie, cheat, disregard, flaunt, ignore anything.

Personally I am opposed to any changes in existing laws. They provide for two fines, neither of which is ever imposed. As Einstein said: The definition of insanity is doing the same old thing and expecting different results.

There seems to be some illusion that illegal aliens will do the right thing. WRONG. Their mind set is already corrupted. They don't distinguish right from wrong. They just don't care.

There were at least six different sets of attitude among Mexicans, for example, when it comes to invading and occupying the USA. Some of these are delusional such as Aztlan, the Mythological land of reconquistas. Others are MECHA, LULAC types of superpatriots/racists. Some have criminal intent to traffic humans and smuggle drugs. Some are trying to escape poverty in their homeland. Some want to escape the murder, mayhem in their own countries. Some are driven by the illusion of making more per hour here than they can make at home in a day. Some are died in the wool, hard core criminals. Some want, primarily, to free load and milk the system. But almost all of them are semi literate, poorly educated paillasos, campesinos, low end of the scale.

I lived with them for years. I know them like the back of my hand. There are indeed some good ones but those won't be coming here.

Obama and his cabal should stop blowing smoke. Everyone is on to him by now. His preposterous assertion that the immigration system is broken, *( And needs fixing ), is just another grandiose prevarication.

There isn't anything broken about existing Federal Immigration and Customs laws. It's a diversion from the facts. We simply have people that scoff at the law and are being lawless anarchists. And people that lack the courage and convictions to enforce existing laws. Those lackluster losers are the problem now and they will still be the problem under any future circumstances.

As the saying goes: It's like herding cats in a car wash.

__________________________________________________ ______

OK you say; What's my solution.

Simple:

1. Impose the provided fines.

2. Incarcarate. *( Tent cities are OK ).

3. Deport.

4. Prosecute.

All of the disingenuous, deliberately misleading news about more border guards than ever and more of this and that is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

You may call it - Get tough - I call it doing your job that you are being paid for in a timely, effective manner.

I agree that the immigration system is "broken" only because immigration law is not enforced.

The notion of "Aztlan" as exhibited by brown racists in America is a notion derived in America, as is Lulac, Mecha, National Council of La Raza, and all the rest. The people involved with all that stuff put on their "Mexican" identity every morning the same way they put on their clothes, a pretension to deny their American identity.

I can't be sure, because it has been hazy to me, but I think the notion of "Aztlan" as being the seven southwestern states came out of Corky Gonzalez' "Crusade for Justice" bunch in Denver, Colorado during the early 1960's and the other groups quickly snapped it up.

Corky Gonzalez couldn't construct a single sentence in Mexican Spanish, but somehow got his hands on some translated copies of works such as "The Cosmic Race" by Jose Vaconcelos - an ultimately racist essay which was both envious and critical of the United States. Gonzalez was heavily influenced by that sort of thing, but his interpretations were derived from an American born perspective: it's not Mexican and neither was Gonzalez.

Multigenerational people with brown skins and Spanish last names aren't "Mexican" any more than are people with white skins and Irish last names who pretend to be Irish maybe once or twice a year when the Renaissance Faire or St Patrick's Day rolls around.

The only thing that is broken, and has been broken are immigration laws. They broke the laws to get here, and continue to break them by staying. It's just a catch phrase "Our immigration is broken". Say something enough times and just about everyone will believe it. What was an error was to change our immigration system to chain migration that Johnson did in the 60's. That is the "broken" part that started all the problems.
You continue to hear the "secure the borders" but half of the illegals came with a visitors visa on a plane or boat and just never left. That's one part of immigration that needs to be addressed; a system to track the violators down and get them out.

Sure there are plenty of things that could and should be done, but to say our immigration is broken is a lie. Our laws are not being enforced, both on immigration and now any law that could force them out.

Excellent! I am so sick of that phrase "our immigration system is broken". Just what the hell does that mean anyway? It's broken because it doesn't cut the illegals enough slack or it's broken because it's not strict enough? You're right, all it is is a catch phrase, usually used by liberal politicians or RINO's who don't want to be pinned down on what their policy actually is.

Default Snake oil

The term - "Our immigration policy is broken" is simply a skunk oil, slick, disingenuous, mealy mouth term that has no basis in fact. The spewing of charlatans to hoodwink.

You and we cannot trust these con artists .

The majority of American's are on to them and especially certain elements of the media who have shined the spotlight the chicanery and lies.

Now that we know - what do we do ?

For myself - plenty already implemented
