Every few years Puerto Rico goes through this to become a state and it's always knocked down. They majority take the position they have economic and social advantages to not becoming a state.
What is different this time as I read it is that the territory of Puerto Rico isn't voting for their statehood, the US Congress is. I need clarification for that. |
