The sweeps consist of deputies and volunteer posse members flooding an area of a city looking for traffic violators, people wanted on criminal warrants and others. Some of the patrols have been in heavily Latino areas.quote
Check out the wording in this statement. The word flooded, is used to imply that it was over saturated to the point of misuse. Then there's the "Some of the patrols have been in heavily Latino areas" as though heavily Latino areas should somehow be exempt from the sheriffs enforcing that area. Yet, if they didn't enter those areas they'd be criticized for neglecting the area. |
