This was a quote from an article on CNN today and it describes what so many of us feel as being an independent. I've felt this was for many years and always told my liberal friends that we need to have a check and balance in our political discourse.
"Independents like the checks and balances of divided government. They dislike the ideological arrogance and legislative overreach that comes when one party controls both the White House and Congress. That's what you're seeing," he said. I agree with this quote wholeheartedly. |

I just heard on the radio that Sarah Palin is supporting John McCain's re-election to the US Senate from Arizona. What a complete idiot!
Cindy McCain is making a commercial for gay marriage and against Prop. 8. We voted on these issues and don't need the offspring of a bootlegging gangster to tell us how to vote or to nullify our votes. I'm so sick of voting and winning and then being told by activist judges and the ruling elites that my vote doesn't count. We go to war for "democracy" in Iraq. WHAT ABOUT SOME DEMOCRACY IN CALIFORNIA? |
