Tens of thousands of children. That's just nuts. Who is going to take care of them? Where are their parents? If their parents are dead, then what about next of kin? They don't have any relations at all?
I don't believe any of it. This is a Catholic country with the usual puking of babies and now they want to ship them abroad. The quake is just an excuse, the Catholic church was ready to ship them all over here long before the quake came along. Free education and middle class upbringing at the expense of free people.

In 1998 Hurricane Mitch wallopped Honduras. We gave temporary protected status to thousands of Hondurans here illegally and put them on a path to citizenship.
We are STILL accepting refugees from Hurricane Mitch. It's never stopped. People are still coming here illegally and claiming that they arrived prior to 1998 and want TPS. How can we, as a compassionate people, look at those who have suffered from a natural catastrophe and not be moved enough to adopt entire nations? How can we? We better START! There are tsunamis, earthquakes, storms, all the time. Right now the impetus is to murder off as many of our own children as is possible so that we can be a virtually childless nation and take in those of other countries. It's times like this when Iran gets at least a modicum of respect for saying "We take care of our own" when they had their massive earthquake. |

Take a look at everyone that has TPS! It's monumental. Ostensibly TPS ended for Hondurans Nicaraguans and El Salvadorans in December of 2008, but if you continue looking, you'll see in other places where TPS has been extended for 18 months here, six months there. The NEW final deadline is July 2010. Twelve years post hurricane! What does that tell you? The Hatians will all be dead of old age before their TPS ends in 50 or 100 years. We'll have second and third generations all claiming TPS because of this earthquake. http://www.flimmigrationlawyer.com/tps-renewal.html |

Areas in the US are not immune from this kind of wretched thinking. We have hurricane and tornado vulnerable areas like Kansas. How many times have tornados wiped out real estate developments in these areas, have received federal funding to rebuild, only to see them wiped out again?
