Maybe it is time to move to China or Mexico. We all know how much we purchase from China, I need a new garage door opener and a garage door store told me today that they are ALL made in Mexico. Good luck with finding a job. Thanks NAFTA & CAFTA.

I have tried to find out where the Genie (Google) factory is but cannot so I will cancel the opener until I can search more.

Good luck finding anything worth buying that's made in Mexico. You can always tell when something is made in China, it says "Made in China". But how can you tell if something has been made in Mexico -- except maybe by looking at the thing and seeing that it is crap? Do our trade agreements with Mexico say that they are not obligated to identify products as being made in Mexico? And is China having any of their components made in Mexico? That way they can identify the item as "Made in China" even if most of it is made in Mexico.

Maybe we can start boycotting products that are made in Mexico or have any parts made in Mexico as a way of confronting immigration issues with Mexico.

I almost always check to see where everything I purchase is made. A few years ago it was found that funiture was being imported from Mexico and they did not put that on the product. I do know most refrigators, washing machines, dryers and vacuum cleaners are made in Mexico. A few years ago I purchased an Oreck vacuum and the sales person said it is the only vacuum made in the US, it is some southern state.
I am going to use the old hand raising until I can get more info.
