Well that says a lot about our election process. We are beginning to realize we need a great deal of oversight and pay more attention to our own election process. But instead we're over in other countries watching theirs.

If the Secretary Of State is to be believed, yes they did: Quote:
http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/sov/...v_complete.pdf And here's the summary of how many registered voters vs how many were eligible to vote State Total 17,304,091 vs 23,208,710 And the bottom line is that only around 14 million actually cast ballots for president. There could be more that voted in other races or measures though. There's no evidence that they stopped counting ballots after Obama was declared the victor. Other ballots would still have the other races and measures on them, so a complete count would be required, and the presidential column would still be part of it Last edited by Ayatollahgondola; 11-03-2009 at 07:35 AM. |

Some people start a story and those who want to believe it will not give up. I read so many contradicting statements that I cannot make up my mind many times. If I cannot believe a story I just shelve it. I refuse to waste hours of my time just to prove a lair or fabricator is one of those two. I never could understand where that story came from about the votes not being counted. Makes no matter, he is in office an appears he will stay in office.

Don't they usually call an election when one person is so far ahead that it is not reansonable to think that person will not prevail? I always thought and still think all the votes are eventually counted. I remember one year when I worked at the polls they found boxes of absentee ballots that had never been counted. That is when I stopped voting absentee.

It is not the job of the Secretary of State to speculate or predict the outcomes of races.

This kind of stuff has gone on for years. I remember while driving home from work the radio announced that Nixon had won. Mind you it was about 4:30 pm, long before the poles closed. I still voted when I got home and it was not for Nixon.
