They certainly wouldn't consider a muslim immigrant until they just couldn't get away with it anymore. New York was on the same path as Washington DC was when they were looking for a white guy as the beltway sniper rather than a muslim.

It should not surprise us that with a liberal controlled Congress, White House and media the primary suspect would be a white man. The liberals are going to try and pin any violent act on Conservative white Americans, while they go out of their way to ignore the violence from the Left and people of color (perpetrated on white Americans). It's the old liberal double standard.
