Meg Whitman
Here's an opportunity to flesh out the candidate Whitman. Aside from the hype, what are the facts? Is she capable of a government job? Will she turn our government into a business? What are her platforms? Can she be trusted with the keys to our state? Who will she appoint? How would a Whitman win affect SOS faithful?

Completely untrustworthy. Seems to have no problem saying whatever she figures a particular audience wants to hear. A Whitman victory would probably impact California resident SOS members in the same fashion as the election of most Republicans who achieve statewide office in this state - Not a great deal b/c the candidate won't be able to accomplish much w/o whoring out to the Democratic majority in Sacramento.

I believe Jerry Brown is eminently more qualified for governor than Whitman. But what would happen to California with Brown as governor and that lunatic Democrat majority in Sacramento? Sad to believe that for me the choice is whether California has a swift or moderate slide into the ocean, and Whitman's best use as a "public servant" is that she will be a dead weight on the backs of embecilic legislators.

The choice sucks! Although Brown would get my vote, not that I'm elated about that.

Neither of the major parties, Republican or Democratic have come up with anyone that can address the problems facing the state due to their inherent corruption.
Third parties are presently unable to compete with the big two. Perhaps we need to become part of these two parties and their internal functions in order to effect change representative of the American peoples' wishes. Then again it may have been tried already. Oh crap we are in such trouble! |

All that is necessary to destroy the "two party system" is to make it a crime to ask a registering voter what their political party is. This would end the primary election system, and the government records of the party affiliation of voters. These lists are how the "two party system" manages districts and gerrymanders them. Get rid of the lists and the government goes back to confronting issues instead of districts. That and the lack of term limits is what makes the "two party system" so powerful. Get rid of it and both the Republicans and Democrats will have to go back to being political parties again instead of government.

She got caught with her pants down but with $119 million of her own dollars invested, don't look for her to give up.
I wonder how many of those Americans who are at the meetings, trying to find a way to save their homes from foreclosure would refuse $23 an hour to do what ever is needed, true they need more than a few hours a week but we don't really know how many hours Nicki worked. Nicki said she was abused and cheated, why did she not report Meg or quit? HIRE LEGAL AMERICANS and you will not have these problems. |

I remember what kind of governor Jerry Brown was first time around. It wasn't pretty. He tends to govern not by what's best for the state. The state exists as an extension of his personal view and opinions. He governs by doing what he feels like doing. That's why he appointed the anti death penalty Rose Bird to the Supreme Court and tried to run away when she was impeached.
Brown has shown an unwillingness to enforce laws he tends not to agree with. As attorney general he refused to defend the state when it was sued over Prop 8. Excuse me Mr. Brown, you had a job to do whether or not you agreed with the law as it was constituted. If he's not going to do his job as Attorney General, he's not likely to do his job as governor either. No matter what you vote for, Jerry Brown will ignore the laws in favor of how he feels it should be. To Jerry Brown the citizens and people of California are dolls in the dollhouse and he's the dollmaker, the puppetmaster. We're all here for his benefit. As much as I do not like Meg Whitman, she knows what business is like way more than this career politician who thinks he's king and we're all his serfs. He has never done anything in his entire career to benefit California or Californians. |
