Reid calls vote for S744 on Monday, we've got work to do!
Reid, is scheduling a vote for the amnesty bill on Monday, we've got work to do this weekend. Senate office's are closed but lets fill up their voice mail and email this weekend.
Numbers USA sent out an alert, perhaps some of you got it. it's a list of the wavering Senators that need to hear from us. I called everyone of them on Friday and gave them an ear full. I also emailed all of them late Thursday night. I'm going to call and leave messages and email all of them this weekend so when they get to the office on Monday, hopefully enough of us have swamped their voice mail and email and they'll think twice about voting to surrender our country! Here it is friends, Lets give em hell! and show them the true American fighting spirit! You can get the Senators email at www.senate.gov Calling is simple! You can use the toll-free number we've provided below that will connect you directly to their DC offices. When the staffer answers, tell him/her that the Gang of Eight's amnesty bill can't be fixed with amendments and the Senator should vote NO on S.744. You can also include some of the details from the Congressional Budget Office report that just came out. Alexander 888-995-2018 Ayotte 888-995-1986 Baucus 888-995-2041 Begich 888-995-2055 Sanders 888-978-3143 Burr 888-995-2097 Chambliss 888-995-1975 Coburn 888-995-1952 Cochran 888-995-1953 Corker 888-995-5271 Cornyn 888-995-2037 Donnelly 888-995-2034 Hagan 888-995-1994 Harkin 888-995-2023 Hatch 888-978-3148 Heitkamp 888-995-2048 Heller 888-995-5451 Hoeven 888-995-2047 Isakson 888-995-1978 Johanns 888-995-2038 Johnson 888-995-2052 Kirk 888-995-5459 Landrieu 888-995-2026 Manchin 888-995-1992 McCaskill 888-995-2019 McConnell 888-995-1997 Moran 888-995-6517 Murkowski 888-995-2057 Portman 888-995-2027 Pryor 888-995-2016 Rubio 888-995-5431 Sherrod Brown 888-995-2029 Stabenow 888-978-3092 Tester 888-995-2045 Thune 888-995-2051 Toomey 888-995-1993 The CBO analysis of the bill concluded that Americans are being asked to swallow a 12-year decline in wages for American workers, plus a 6-year increase in unemployment, in return for enforcement that won't cut illegal immigration by more than 25%. In addition, S. 744 makes the country less secure, according to the president of the union of ICE immigration enforcement agents. The bill weakens current laws on fencing, on the entry-exit system and much more. No fig leaf border amendment from Sen. Corker will cover the shame of it all. |

I got a lot of busy signals today. also noticed a lot of "What's your address". Apparently there is a little interest in listening to only their district constituents. That is a good thing until they start listening to illegals, even those in their districts

I got a lot of busy signals also. Although towards the end of the day (3:00) the lines were mostly wide open.
I was only calling on the list above. I just finished emailing the Republicans on the list, tomorrow I'll do the Democrats. I was on the Senate web site and Murkowski, from Alaska is a big problem, as she votes with the Gang of eight and not with the Republicans. Hoeven, and Corker are expected to vote yes after their amendment is adopted. That will allow Ayotte to sell out. and then I think they will have the 60 votes. We've got to pound Murkowski, Hoeven, Corker, Ayotte and persuade all the Dems. on the list to see if we can get some crossovers. We've really got the deck stacked against us. I'm not giving up though, This bill has had cardiac arrest several times, it's just that this bill is a zombie and they keep bringing it back to life when what it really wants to do is just die. |

I called and left messages for all the Senators on the list. A few had message box's full.
Alexander, Ayotte, Corker, Hoeven, and Rubio all have full voice mail boxes as of Saturday afternoon. I can't tell you how urgent it is for all of us to pull out all the stops. We need to do every thing we can to stop this nation crushing legislation. We need to call and email all weekend long! Last edited by Greg in LA; 06-22-2013 at 02:06 PM. |

The senate is really hard to influence from our level. They just represent too many people. I wish we could find another way to make an impact on them

Yes it is hard. I think I'm going crazy. I kept emailing and calling voice mail all Friday evening and a good part of Saturday. Not sure it's really going to help, but I need to do something to keep my mind off of my sense of fear and of the impending doom.
If I don't keep busy, I think I'm going to explode. |
