Philadelphia - A U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) botanist confirmed today that a weed seed that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agriculture specialists discovered April 22 in a shipping container at the Port of Wilmington, Del., was the highly invasive Pennisetum macrourum, commonly known as African Feathergrass, and the first ever discovery of African Feathergrass at the Port of Wilmington.
