Some people are comparing Obama and Egypt with Carter and Iran. But I don't think Carter ever actually expressed support for the people taking over Iran, especially because of the way they were treating us, the fact that they seized our embassy.
It would be interesting to learn connections, if any, between the Muslim Brotherhood and the overthrow of the Shah in Iran.
