Default Duplicate Records Check Criteria For Cal Voter

CalVoter I: Duplicate Check Criteria -December 2009

The primary criteria set has been used during the month of December to check duplicate records in CalVoter I. The primary criteria set is comprised of the registrant's driver license, first name, and date of birth. This duplicate check has been run statewide. Please note that the Unique ID field may contain not only a valid California driver license, but also an I-type or X-type Unique ID. Please focus on resolving issues with registrant records containing definite duplicate COLs before focusing on registrants with duplicate I-type or X-type Unique IDs, as these are less likely to be duplicates. However, please be sure to check all notifications that you receive from this criteria, as the I-type and X-type Unique 10 may also identify duplicate registrants. While some counties have no duplicates, some counties have many duplicates. Unfortunately, because "01-011850" is used to indicate an unknown date of birth in registrations prior to 01 /01 /1990, this contributes to possible duplicates. We are aware that you are engaged in processing various files sent by our office. Please place emphasis on processing the duplicate records along with any records identified as "F" (Fatal) in the deficiency files you receive from Secretary of State before you work any records that are identified as "0" (Deficient). If you have any questions regarding this or any other CalVoter matters, please call the Cal Voter Help Desk at
