Just for what it's worth (or what I would, your free choice):

First try to restore your factory software from recovery.

I would download the free version of Malwarebytes and run that.

Then download the right version of Spybot search and destroy and run it. Be careful, I believe there is an imitator which has malware.

Get yourself good paid versions of a firewall and anti virus. You might not always get what you pay for, but I've had bad luck with free firewalls and antivirus.

If this doesn't work (I've been down the road more than once), you may have to reinstall windows 7 from a new CD. The software is now much cheaper than when you got your computer. You'll probably have to download some drivers from Toshiba, the local Best Buy technician did some of it for me and didn't charge me anything. You may have to go to Fry's to get Windows 7, I think a lot of the stores don't have it in any form of inventory anymore. Call before you drive, or you may be able to have it shipped and save some gas.

When you first reinstall 7, it will look funky, but the updates will fix all that and the machine will run faster without all the manufacturer crap clogging it up.

Whatever you do, it can be a pain in the ass chore and you'll probably lose some stuff you wanted to keep.
