Some months ago I heard that the Obamas were shopping for a multi-million dollar house in Palm Springs up by Bob Hope's old house on the hill, just up the road from all those golf courses and the nice winter weather.
Maybe New York in the summer, California in the winter.
But, if Obama were to practice what his progressive religion preaches for everyone else, he would, at most, opt for a cheap fixer upper nestled among high density dwelling tweekers and other misfits over in Desert Hot Springs and live on less than the per capita income level there. Shop at Wal Mart and maybe the Savation Army too rather than over on Indian Canyon south of Racquet Club Drive.
Same valley, same winter, blazing hot summers, but he can still see the golf courses from his roof.

"My people" is anyone who's a decent person, there's good people and assholes everywhere and I'm sometimes surprised at where I find either one.
