Default I live in New York.

And yes New York is certainly a border state with a long section adjacent to Canada from Vermont to Pennsylvania. In addition we have the Atlantic coastline which is also considered border.

Although the Adirondacks are mountains and forested *( The biggest wilderness area East of the Mississippi ) From Syracuse to Buffalo and South to the Pennsylvania state line there are many farms and dairy's along with the Finger Lakes region vineyards. They employ farm workers. There is a Congressman up there who was harassing ICE/CBP to lay off if the illegal alien farm workers. His constituents were farmers who were after him to go easy !

Back in the heyday of Minutemen, 3,4,5 years ago there was an active group whose leader was on Long Island who periodically organized border watches up around Massena and East. A group of anywhere from several to 15 or so would drive up there 3, 4 hours, stay in a Motel and go to the border crossings. They never saw any illegals but they did kick a soccer ball back and forth across the border to Canadians, until the NY State police confiscated the ball. It was a publicity gimmick.

Once when I drove into Canada I came back through Vermont on a remote county road. There wasn't any border gate, station or check point at all. There are still areas across the USA where border stations are unmanned or only manned 8 to 12 daily. And now that there is more emphasis on the Southern border the invaders are, more and more, thinking about and using the Northern border.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg, NYC, runs a sanctuary. He forbids the police from doing anything about the illegals. There are counterfeiting operations in Queens that sell all documents. Invaders come to Florida by boat, up the coast by bus, buy documents and then on to Towns in NY. I have valid information on more than 100 organizations in the 5 boroughs of NYC and 6 surrounding counties that aid and abet illegal aliens.

Back many years ago when I was a young man I worked for a contractor who did some work in several Towns out there. There are large areas called the muck lands or black dirt country. They were ancestral glacial lakes that silted in and are now very rich soil for farming. I remember the farm workers well, riding in the backs of trucks and working the fields. All American Negro's. They were pretty comical characters. A Town supervisor told us they would get paid Friday night, play poker, get drunk, XXXXX the women from cabin to cabin, fight and be broke on Monday morning borrowing money for tobacco. Melons and other crops would lay in the fields unharvested. My brother and I asked farmers and they allowed us to pick up some of the crops free to take home as they would rot and did rot. Apparently there wasn't sufficient market or maybe a labor deficiency, not sure which.
