Merry Christmas to one and all.

Yesterday morning I had the impulse to break every electronic device I heard a serious Christmas song emanating from, I was sick of the hype the day after Thanksgiving and have felt bombarded with money grubbing commercialism and frantic, absurd holiday consumerism ever since.

However, we had an early Christmas yesterday afternoon and it was great.

It was relaxed, no tension in the family gathering, and the kids had a great time. I really enjoyed playing with the little ones.

I finally achieved holiday peace, and it was wonderful. Might go out tonight on a drive with Elena to see those residences which strive to put Clark Griswald's Christmas yard decoration to shame.

May you feel peace in your heart, the best gift of all.
