Anytime people believe they can get something for nothing it's going to be cool.

Communisim has a special attraction for the lazy and worthless because they believe that they will be supported by the state and never have to do anything. That is the reason why Communisim leads, inevitably and inexorably to state slavery. Once the easily led achieve the goal of confiscating what the "rich" have they need do nothing more. The state, to exist, simply conscripts workers. Russia did it after the Communist revolution and put people into forced labor camps. China does it today.

I know a man from China. He grew up there. The state provides everything. All University education is state paid. All medical care is state paid. If anyone wants to live on subsistence they can with minimal food and dormitory style housing. The lazy are in the factories forced to work for their keep.

At 10 years old, the child becomes a worker. Boys and girls are taken from their families and sent to camps where they work the farms in the summer. Not doing well in school, the slightest exhibition of not working hard means the kid doesn't leave the farm. Or worse, sent to a factory.

The lure of the indolency that communisim promises but can never deliver is so powerful that it is moving academia to bring in the young with the promise. Kids today believe that communisim will give them endless sex, drugs and rock n roll.
