I got hooked up to two different refugee settlement/support groups by way of email notifications. You really want to get pissed off, see how the do-gooders are constantly lobbying the immigration authorities or the secretary of state's office to bring them here, and soliciting for help to support their sorry asses once they arrive. I say "sorry asses" because they play this up pretty well. Funny thing is, the US should be propping them up in their home countries with arms and other support if they are so worthwhile. If anything would increase democracy, it's pummeling oppression where it happens. All the US is doing right now is bringing the misery here.
