Congress slashes subsidy for jailing illegal immigrants

WASHINGTON – California and other financially strapped states will lose tens of millions of federal dollars that they spend to jail illegal immigrants charged with crimes, under Congress' latest spending bill.

Anyone here know what this guy's comment refers to? illegals are under a jurisdiction of Mexico by signing up for a matricula?

Hogwash! The U.S. Border Patrol can only do so much to stop illegal immigrants from taking jobs from American workers, and reducing wages for less-skilled, less-educated U.S. workers. The first step is H.R. 19, which phases in E-Verify checks for all employees over a period of seven years. The second step is to require all those not legally permitted to work in this country to get a Matricula Consular, which places them under the authority of the Chamber of Deputies of the Mexican Government. After that, the thirteen billion dollar annual cost for educating, incarcerating, providing family services, and providing medical care to California's nearly three million illegal immigrants can be billed directly to Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Brazil, or wherever else these workers call home. A side benefit is that their children will no longer be naturalized under the 14th amendment, and California will no longer have to foot the bill for anchor babies. !Si', Podemos!
