This is a sweet victory considering our campaign operates on minimal funding compared to the $20 million spent by the Poizner campaign.

According to several polls including the California Policy Institute poll, voters are ready to vote outside the two main parties. This places the Nightingale For Governor campaign in a solid position this election period. And we can continue to succeed with your participation at the fundraising celebration!

Will the Independent Party be participating in the primaries this June? Or have they already picked their candidate? It is hard to see the significance of Chelene beating Poizner if Poizner has no chance as the Republican candidate. Poizner's first obligation is winning the support of Republicans, unless he wants to show up on the ballot in November outside his party.

What does it mean that voters appear willing to vote outside the two main parties? Are they no longer registering with the two main parties?
