This was a quote from an article on CNN today and it describes what so many of us feel as being an independent. I've felt this was for many years and always told my liberal friends that we need to have a check and balance in our political discourse.
"Independents like the checks and balances of divided government. They dislike the ideological arrogance and legislative overreach that comes when one party controls both the White House and Congress. That's what you're seeing," he said.
I agree with this quote wholeheartedly.
