Default AZ Senate Race: McCain vs. Hayworth

The next big battle in AZ will be the contest for the AZ US Senate seat held for decades by open borders incumbent, John McCain, who is being challenged by former GOP AZ congressman J.D. Hayworth, who is a nationalist on the immigration issue.

Recent polls show McCain 47 and Hayworth, 42. Five points separates them. McCain is flip flopping and suddently figured out that he has a higher obligation to the US and US citizens than to Mexican peasants, flooding over the border and dispossessing Americans.

AZ's new anti-immigration law is suported by 70% of voters so McCain's desparation is apparent. (Note: McCain's daughter has come out against her father and the new law. See below.).

Will McCain be able to fool AZ voters this time? That's the question. I believe the AZ senate race will be crucial, not only for symbolic but for political reasons. The overall impact of the new law is not certain, but it has brought this simmering issue to a full boil. This is a pivotal race for 2010.
